„From personal to fashion, from gender to style, the latest trends depict a fascinating world of people and their apparel.”
Antonio Garcia-Valdes is a Spanish fashion designer. He has developed a mobile platform in which users can create and upload clothes (both photos and text based) that are then stored on the app. The clothes uploaded through the app are then delivered to hundreds of clients who want to buy them. His platform aims at transforming „wearable content” into a real business for designers.
In this section we will focus on the fashion world. We will show how fashion is evolving in New York and how US women are leading the trend with their unique look.
The first major data source was the New York Times, which began reporting on sales of women’s clothing in 1928. By 1930, women’s clothing sales accounted for 30% of total sales at retail stores and departments stores. The first recorded incidences of arson or other crime against women’s clothes were reported in 1942 and 1943. Women’s dressers began to emulate men by wearing shoulder-length coats with a low neckline, matching gloves, white gloves or a fur-lined glove, and stockings that reached just above their knees as well as blouses that followed the same rules: no sleeves.
It is happening in the fashion industry of New York, the US. The trend is getting more popular, and I am pretty sure that it will be very interesting to watch how this industry evolves over the coming years.
Very interesting topics are related to fashion trends and its impact on society at large. It also means that it is a good fit for content writing as well. It makes sense because fashion is not only about clothes but also about life style, social perception and self-esteem.
